Calligraphy & Watercolour Card Making - Workshop at Home

Inspired by my popular in-person workshops, this kit combines brushpen calligraphy and watercolour to help you create beautiful handmade greetings cards.

What you'll learn

Calligraphy

You'll start with the calligraphy video lessons, learning how to hold your pen, practise foundational strokes and recognise common pitfalls and how to correct them.

Following the approach I teach in my workshops, you'll learn the principles of letter formation and how to use your detailed guidance sheet to identify the order and direction of the strokes that make up each letter.

I'll demonstrate this with a couple of examples to help you get started, before you practise the full alphabet and put your new skills into practice by writing some simple calligraphy words and having a go at common greetings ready to put on your cards.

Watercolour

Next, you'll learn simple watercolour techniques through video demonstrations for two different greetings card designs. I'll then guide you through each design step by step, showing you how to bring the calligraphy and watercolour together to create your own handmade cards.

You'll also receive additional design inspiration to help you put your new skills into practice and create more of your own designs.

You can work through the lessons at your own pace and revisit the videos whenever you like.
